 HEALTH IN RURAL AREAS

For a number of decades health cares in rural areas is increasingly becoming worse, one can be shocked by the silence that is posed over the situation which indeed requires an immediate  attention to contain, complicated delivery in women is a major denominator, lack of permanent transport to get patients to hospital remains to be questions that has nobody to give back the answer, a case happened to  Mwajuma Haji Athumani who  wasn’t lucky enough to have someone  to get  her to the hospital. Three years ago Mwajuma went into labour whilst at home in her village of Kiembe. It was raining heavily so transport was unable to pass on the rural roads. She had no choice but to walk. She walked for half an hour to the local dispensary in Talawanda but no one was there to help her. Still experiencing labour pains she continued to Chalinze, a further hour away. But, still no one was available to help her. She then left for Tomby Kibaha Hospital. But, it was too late. She gave birth on the side of the road to a baby which was already dead. “I’m too ashamed to talk about it,” she said.  “The doctor suggested that if the road was better children wouldn’t die.” But, you can see it in her eyes she blames herself. But, it wasn’t her fault. And, she’s not the only local woman this has happened to. again one may be suffering from malaria but because transport is hard to find may decide to stay at home and rely in tradition medicine  a problem that has resulted in death of many children especially those below the age of five years therefore walking is the only option to these people in rural areas and those who are too weak to walk need people to carry them by hands or by (chekecheke) a sieve-  used to clean maize that is often adapted in an improvised  stretcher as is seen in picture

school children show a chekecheke (when improvised)
used to carry patients to hospital

Education as the backbone for the future of the children is still a matter of low priority to the society members and unequal representation of number of girls and boys at school continues up to the higher learning institutions, lack of  infrastructure at school and  other educational facilities such as books, laboratory equipments make the school life even more harder for both teachers and students

Let's read and discover the treasure....

Generally the town of Gata looks like a beautiful bloody home of ghosts, the place where
peace dwells in few tongues, it's where even the street head man has rough mouth to the poor outsiders, men hunt their desired preys and vice versa, Human adults are increasingly bored with deepen respect from little girls so to create a mouse trap of lustful jokes and finally both would find each other on bed naked like jaybirds, singing and murmuring the sweetest rhythm of orgasm. An old man feels like a young boy of 18 years and the little girl forgets the moment of becoming a grandmother!  Trade is hidden in the scanty beautiful pants!   Soft drinks and money to afford precious ornaments such as diamond and golden bracelets, spring beads and necklaces are exchanged for deadly viruses which leave the body vulnerable to health threatening infections and the soul to swirl about in the human cesspit of its own desire! Marriage is a matter of the past in this home of mine, jilting and deceiving one another is legal and laws have been enacted and amended to it. If one welcomes you in his church, better you guess he committed a dreadful sin last day….. for the churches are sweetest deodorants to fresh their dirty profiles in the society, one may be shocked by the spirit of charity that they display in front of the congregation with huge amount of donations and sacrifices. Only few people afford luxuries in town but the larger masses starves like the lost sails men in the great ocean........... (pp.10)Charles.M.(2012).A son of man.unpublished.

I was there........

I was there,
Bible in the left hand,
A whip swung below the armpits,
And a gun in the right hand,
When the patriots were hunted and burned alive,
Detained and rot behind the steel rods.

I was there,
Before they divided and ruled you,
Called you savages and barbaric
Even before they tilled your mind,
For the seeds of despair be sown.

 I was there,
Before the hot and cold combat,
Armament and disarmament,
Bi- polarity and impoverishment,
That of my lovely continent!

I was there,
Before the planes in made,
Volkswagen n’ Cadillac on the road,
Global surfing, iphone and iPod,

Even before seeing the continent globalized!

(Everybody goes home 10th april,2014)

Ooh friend!
Let me go lovely and freed,
For the walk is must and creed,
Far into years mother walked,
Left me alone under breast feed,
And  in grandmother’s arm raised.

At the heart of such red soil,
Deep down the Earth wail,

Where my empty body soul,
Shall lie after the long toil.

In a closed casket
Let my Flesh melt,
And the bones shrink,
For both are no longer Worth.

The lonely soul,
Swirls up high in sky,
Bequeath no smile,
But weep, sorrow and grief.

        Ooh friend!
Live to fight another life,
For no one knows the end of dusk,
That deeply hidden in the musk,
The musk of glory and endless kingdom,
Where everybody goes home.

Special to the very sorrowful first week of April 2014 when three students were lost consecutively!

                                         WELCOME DEAR READERS!

Hi my name is Marco and  this is my blog made for sharing various life denominators. our society faces a lot of challenges including moral downfall, drastic rise of poverty, ignorance, poor health education both in urban and rural.with all these constructive reason we can share a lot about life in the society we are living. Remember life is full of challenges and what is happening today is only 10% always lets be strong enough to accept them in life never say "why me?" but we must let challenges understand that we are strong!

we keep ourselves strong and understand the suffering of others then we can build the future!
